Strive Inc. purchased 1,355 bitcoin for roughly $107.7 million during the week of September 14-18, lifting its total treasury to 26,355 BTC. At Monday morning prices, holdings were valued at approximately $2.1 billion to $2.2 billion.
The acquisition was financed through equity issuances rather than depleting cash reserves. The company issued 2.07 million Class A shares and 786,194 SATA preferred shares during the week. Despite spending nearly $108 million on bitcoin, Strive's cash position grew by $25.4 million, from $204.2 million to $229.6 million.
Financing Strategy
SATA preferred shares, designed to maintain a value near $100 while paying variable dividends recently around 13%, generated approximately $78.6 million in new capital for the week. Strive now has 11.18 million SATA shares outstanding, representing about $1.12 billion at stated value.
The bitcoin purchases occurred at an average price of $79,475 per coin, below Strive's blended cost basis in the low-to-mid $90,000s.
Accumulation Pattern
The latest purchase represents the fifth consecutive buying period for Strive. Over five reported buying windows, the company accumulated 6,109 bitcoin: 1,110 BTC in late August, followed by 1,800 BTC, 1,375 BTC, 469 BTC, and 1,355 BTC most recently.
Holdings have grown more than 225 percent this year, positioning Strive as the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate bitcoin holder.
Additional Holdings
Strive owns 505,000 shares of Strategy's STRC preferred stock, valued at approximately $49.7 million, making the bitcoin treasury company also a shareholder in the world's largest corporate bitcoin holder.
Share Performance
ASST shares closed Friday at $30.09, up 6.4 percent for the session, after trading at $14.73 one month earlier. However, the stock remains approximately 61 percent below its level from one year ago.
