Tonkeeper has rebranded to Keeper and expanded beyond The Open Network to support six additional blockchains, transforming a TON-focused self-custodial wallet into a multichain product.
The wallet now supports TON, Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, and Base, according to an announcement made Tuesday. Self-custodial wallets give users direct control of their crypto assets rather than relying on an exchange or intermediary.
User-Driven Expansion
The rebrand reflects changing user behavior. Nikita Monastyrskiy, Chief Marketing Officer of Keeper, said the shift came from users themselves. "The people who trusted Tonkeeper stopped living on a single chain," Monastyrskiy told Decrypt. "They hold USDT on Tron, Bitcoin, ETH, and assets on the L2s, and they were managing all of it across four or five apps while keeping their most important one for TON."
Andrew Rogozov, founder and CEO of The Open Platform, stated: "Tonkeeper earned its place as the home of TON, trusted by millions of people around the world. Keeper is the next chapter: taking the simplicity we're known for beyond TON and into the broader crypto economy."
Current and Planned Features
Keeper offers a Battery feature that allows users to pay transaction fees without holding each network's native token. The company plans to expand this feature to all supported networks within a year, though it did not specify which networks currently support it at launch.
The wallet plans to add cross-chain swaps, DeFi products, spending tools, a decentralized-app browser, a loyalty program, and perpetual-futures trading. No launch dates were provided for these features.
Broader TON Ecosystem Changes
The expansion follows similar moves in the TON ecosystem. MyTonWallet rebranded to My Wallet in June after expanding to 11 networks, and STON.fi, a TON-based decentralized exchange, launched cross-chain swaps in July connecting TON with TRON and several Ethereum-compatible networks.
The Open Platform, which develops Keeper and other TON products, raised $28.5 million at a $1 billion valuation in 2025. The Platform also develops the TON Wallet available inside Telegram.
