Tonomy S.R.L., a Panama-registered technology company, has launched a blockchain-based prediction market platform built on the TON blockchain. The platform combines a web interface and Telegram Mini App to allow users to make predictions on short-term cryptocurrency price movements.
The company has announced that it submitted an application for registration as a Designated Contract Market (DCM) with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). According to Tonomy, the regulatory agency has confirmed receipt of the documents. The company noted that application submission does not constitute registration, licensure, or authorization to operate in the United States.
Platform Design
Tonomy's platform enables participants to forecast outcomes of future events by selecting between possible results. The project integrates blockchain infrastructure with accessible digital interfaces, offering users access through both its website and a Telegram Mini App.
By building on the TON ecosystem and leveraging Telegram's user base, the company aims to reach an international audience interested in cryptocurrency and emerging financial technologies.
Regulatory and Competitive Strategy
The company views regulatory compliance as central to its long-term strategy and international expansion plans. Tonomy positions itself as a potential competitor to established prediction market platforms, though its ability to compete at scale will depend on product development, user adoption, and regulatory outcomes.
The company's stated priorities include continuing technological development, improving platform functionality, and expanding its international presence.
