President Trump has pledged to allocate up to $500 million from his super PAC to support Republican candidates in the November midterms, according to remarks made to reporters in the Oval Office.
Trump stated that his super PAC holds approximately $1 billion in total, with plans to direct between $400 million and $500 million toward the midterm effort. "We're going to spend a lot of money because we don't want to lose our country," he said.
MAGA Inc., the pro-Trump political action committee, reported $403.45 million in cash on hand as of July 31st, according to Federal Election Commission filings. The PAC has maintained relatively conservative spending through early 2025, deploying roughly $21 million since the start of the year, including approximately $1.7 million on independent expenditures.
According to the Associated Press, MAGA Inc. holds more cash than any of the major party committees. The hybrid PAC can make unlimited independent expenditures but cannot contribute directly to candidates.
Trump indicated that he will personally direct spending toward races deemed winnable and that funds may remain unspent after November. The PAC has begun targeted spending in key battleground states, including funding an event in Michigan featuring Vice President JD Vance.
