While the SEC did not directly approve or endorse Uniswap or Uniswap v4, the agency created a regulatory pathway for compliant tokenized stock trading using permissioned AMM infrastructure. Uniswap launched permissioned pools in July to support compliant trading of tokenized assets, with the ability to restrict access to approved wallets through on-chain compliance rules.
