Upbit Adds Cluster Protocol, Hemi, and Useless Tokens in September Listing Wave

Upbit, South Korea's dominant cryptocurrency exchange, listed three new tokens on September 8, 2026. Cluster Protocol's CP token began trading at approximately 8:30 AM KST with pairs against the Korean won (KRW), Bitcoin, and USDT. Hemi and Useless tokens followed later that evening at 9:30 PM KST, available in BTC and USDT pairs.

Bithumb, South Korea's second-largest exchange, added support for CP/KRW trading the same day, reflecting parallel interest from major Korean trading venues in Cluster Protocol specifically.

Token Specifications

Cluster Protocol (CP) operates in the AI-infrastructure sector. The token has a maximum supply of 5 billion, with approximately 1.37 billion tokens (27.38% of total supply) in circulation at launch. CP serves as the settlement layer for payments on a decentralized AI compute network, used for billing AI inference calls and GPU compute jobs.

Hemi (HEMI) is the native token of the Hemi network, an Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 blockchain that launched its mainnet in March 2025. The token has a maximum supply of 10 billion and handles transaction fees and network governance. Hemi was co-founded by former Bitcoin Core developer Jeff Garzik and uses a Proof-of-Proof consensus mechanism designed to combine Ethereum's programmability with Bitcoin's security model.

Useless (USELESS) is a Solana-based meme token that launched with no presale and no team allocation, following a fair-launch structure where early participants have no structural advantage over later buyers.

Market Access Implications

The availability of CP/KRW trading is commercially significant for Korean retail investors, allowing direct purchases using local currency without requiring conversion through Bitcoin or stablecoins. Hemi and Useless, listed only with BTC and USDT pairs, require an additional conversion step for Korean buyers using fiat currency.
