Webull has joined X's Cashtag Partner Program, announced Oct. 2, to integrate stock and cryptocurrency discussions on the social network with its trading services. The online investment platform (Nasdaq: BULL) will connect users discussing assets on X directly to order execution through cashtags—dollar-prefixed symbols such as $BTC for bitcoin that organize financial posts and provide access to price information.
The partnership enables real-time quotes, charts, and order entry functionality alongside potential uses of X data including investor sentiment, discussion trends, and market narratives. The agreement positions the integration to serve both traditional equity and digital asset trading.
Webull joins four other U.S. financial services in the initial Cashtag Partner Program roster: Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Coinbase, and Kraken. The program, which launched in September, aims to shorten the path from asset discovery on social media to executing trades through an external financial services provider.
The partnership builds on X's earlier April integration with Wealthsimple, a Canadian online brokerage, which introduced interactive stock and crypto data for iPhone users in the United States and Canada. X introduced cashtags as a feature in July 2012 to organize stock discussions, with interactive charts and brokerage connections added in subsequent years.
Webull reports more than 28 million registered users globally and operates investment services across 18 markets including North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
