XRP ETF Inflows Bolster Case for $2.14 Rally, Though Model Forecasts Remain Cautious

XRP ETF Inflows Bolster Case for $2.14 Rally, Though Model Forecasts Remain Cautious

XRP could reach $2.14 by late November as sustained institutional demand through US exchange-traded funds adds momentum to recent price gains, according to analysis from CryptoSlate's forecasting model.

US XRP ETFs have recorded net inflows for six consecutive months, accumulating roughly $474 million over that period, strengthening the bullish narrative around the token. The inflows represent a steadier institutional bid that goes beyond typical retail trading activity.

CryptoSlate's 90-day model places the $2.14 target at the 80th percentile of its forecast range, representing nearly 59% above its reference close. However, the model's median forecast stands at $1.47, well below the headline target, suggesting the $2.14 outcome represents an optimistic scenario within a wider distribution.

The forecast methodology incorporates 2,000 simulated price paths using volatility modeling, historical simulation, and quantile regression. The model's bearish estimate reaches $1.05, while an extreme stress marker falls to $0.46, underscoring the wide range of potential outcomes despite recent recovery.

Leveraged Positioning Could Amplify Moves

Derivatives data adds complexity to the outlook. CME XRP futures averaged 36,600 contracts daily during the second quarter, generating $10.8 billion in notional volume. Recent positioning shows leveraged funds net short the equivalent of 115.7 million XRP as CME open interest jumped 39.6%.

If XRP's rebound persists and prices advance further, traders holding directional short positions could face pressure to reduce exposure, potentially adding upward momentum. Conversely, if the rebound stalls, the dynamic reverses.

Regulatory Clarity and Market Balance

Regulatory uncertainty eased in August 2025 when the SEC and Ripple dismissed their appeals, resolving the long-running civil case. A $125 million penalty and injunction remain in place, but the resolution removed a source of regulatory risk.

The current market presents conflicting signals: six months of ETF accumulation and sizeable leveraged short positioning support upside, while the model's median forecast remains substantially below $2.14. Sustaining the recent demand strength would be necessary for XRP to reach the bullish target.
