Ripple's XRP has drawn significant institutional interest through newly launched spot exchange-traded funds, even as the broader cryptocurrency market experienced a recent downturn. The asset declined 8% during a market-wide correction but maintained support from large investors.
ETF Inflows and Whale Activity
Spot XRP ETFs have posted 10 consecutive weeks of positive returns, with cumulative net inflows reaching approximately $1.75 billion. Issuers include Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Canary Capital, 21Shares, and Grayscale. Additional ETF applications are under regulatory review.
T. Rowe Price updated a crypto ETF filing to include exposure to multiple cryptocurrencies, with XRP weighted at 9.15%. Exchange Listed Funds Trust filed the "CYBER HORNER S&P 500® and XRP 75/25 Strategy ETF" with the SEC, which would offer combined exposure to equities and XRP in a 75/25 ratio if approved.
Large token holders acquired over 1.54 billion XRP units within a 96-hour period last week, following the failure of the CLARITY Act in the United States.
Institutional Expansion and Stablecoin Development
Ripple executives participated in discussions at the MESA Forum alongside representatives from BlackRock, HSBC, and other financial institutions. Topics included stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and tokenized money market funds.
Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, launched in December 2024 and received regulatory recognition from the Dubai Financial Services Authority in summer 2025 as a crypto token within the Dubai International Financial Center. The stablecoin has attracted backing from major exchanges and institutions, with its market capitalization reaching $2.37 billion, making it the ninth-largest stablecoin by market value.
