XRP futures traders are maintaining bullish positioning despite near-term price pressure. XRP declined 1.55% to $1.38 in the previous session, while derivatives data across major exchanges reveals a largely bullish trader setup tempered by significant liquidation activity.
Derivatives data from Binance, OKX, and Bybit shows mixed signals across trader categories. Binance whale accounts recorded a long/short ratio of 2.74, placing them in the Extremely Bullish category, while retail traders favored longs with a 2.47 ratio. Smart Money traders on Binance, however, showed an Extremely Bearish reading, creating a divergence between experienced traders and other market participants.
OKX recorded broader bullish alignment. Retail traders posted a 2.55 long/short ratio and whale positions surged to 30.86, both in the Extremely Bullish category. Smart Money on OKX also remained Extremely Bullish. On Bybit, both retail traders and whale accounts posted a 3.39 long/short ratio, classified as Extremely Bullish, though Smart Money remained Extremely Bearish.
The bullish positioning came under pressure from liquidations. Total liquidations reached $7.91 million over 24 hours, with long positions accounting for $7.62 million, or approximately 96%. Short volume slightly led trading activity at 52.78% of total volume, compared to 47.22% for long volume.
The data suggests traders continue holding bullish exposure despite the weakening spot price, though the concentrated liquidation activity in long positions indicates leveraged buyers face vulnerability if selling pressure persists.
