XRP wallets holding at least 1 million tokens reached 2,147, the highest count of 2026, according to blockchain analytics firm Santiment. The firm highlighted the expansion in a post on X on Nov. 3, noting that the growth occurred during a period of price weakness.
Large-Holder Growth
Santiment reported that the group of million-token wallets increased by 28 addresses over the preceding 10 days, including 18 during the final three days. Those shorter-period additions accounted for nearly two-thirds of the overall increase. The firm said large holders tend to have longer time horizons than short-term traders and interpreted the expansion as evidence that substantial balances were being built.
A similar divergence appeared in August, when million-token XRP wallets increased by 32 over three months while the token’s market capitalization declined 29%. The latest figures cover a shorter period and show faster net address growth. The “millionaire” classification describes token holdings, with each qualifying address containing at least 1 million XRP.
Address Data and Trading Activity
Santiment’s holder-distribution methodology measures distinct addresses grouped by token balances. An address crossing the 1 million XRP threshold increases the count, while one falling below it reduces the tally. The measure therefore tracks membership in a balance category; purchase volume requires separate evidence.
The relationship between addresses and investors also depends on how funds are held. XRP Ledger accounts can contain pooled exchange balances, with platforms typically holding customer XRP in a few shared accounts. Consequently, the number of qualifying addresses cannot establish how many individual investors hold that amount.
Separate measures capture other forms of activity. In September, Santiment recorded 1,917 large XRP transactions as the token crossed $1.60. That transaction tally measured transfers above a dollar threshold, whereas the latest finding tracks addresses meeting a minimum token balance.
Network Activity and Confirmation Signals
Broader network activity also increased, with 7,934 new XRP wallets created on Nov. 1, the sixth-highest daily total of 2026, Santiment reported. That measure captured newly created addresses across balance sizes. The two findings describe different aspects of participation: account creation and the distribution of large balances.
Following the Binance hack, the firm suggested that some users might have shifted toward self-custody of crypto assets. It presented that connection as a possible explanation for the earlier wallet-creation surge. Its latest large-holder assessment instead focused on whether the expanding group persisted through subsequent price moves.
Holding roughly $1.20 to $1.25 while the count remained above 2,140 would keep the longer-term setup constructive, the firm stated. Santiment added that a reclaim of psychological supports of $1.30, followed by $1.40, while large-wallet numbers keep rising would provide much stronger confirmation that accumulation is confirming every price rise.
