The increase in the Sharpe Ratio coincided with XRP's price recovery to around $1.40, following a pullback from a three-month high of $1.69 reached two weeks prior. For most of the period since August 2025, the Sharpe Ratio had remained near neutral or negative levels.
Current Price Action and Technical Levels
XRP currently trades at approximately $1.35, down 3% over the past 24 hours and 10.20% over the past seven days. The asset recently faced rejection at the $1.50–$1.55 resistance zone after the August rally pushed the 14-day RSI to 85.41, indicating overbought conditions.
Key support levels include the 50% Fibonacci retracement at $1.34, the $1.30 support level, and a $1.25 downside target. The 38.2% Fibonacci retracement sits at $1.42.
Market Pressures
Spot distribution data shows strong selling pressure, with spot selling overwhelming bid-side liquidity. Net sell-side volume remains elevated across major exchanges as traders take profits near technical levels.
XRP spot exchange-traded funds, however, continue to provide demand support. These ETFs recorded $110.49 million in weekly net inflows through August 28, their strongest week of 2026, bringing cumulative ETF inflows to $1.66 billion.
The improving Sharpe Ratio does not guarantee continued price appreciation, as the indicator could decline if volatility increases or XRP experiences a sharper correction.
