XRP's spot trading volume climbed to its highest level since February during August, coinciding with a roughly 8% price increase over the last day to trade near $1.45.
Binance dominated the trading activity, accounting for about $7.28 billion in XRP spot trades during the month. Upbit followed with approximately $4.68 billion, followed by Bithumb Korea at close to $2.59 billion. Bybit processed about $1.40 billion, Gate.io around $1.33 billion, and KuCoin near $1.23 billion. Bitget and Coinbase each handled just under $1 billion, at $918.5 million and $915.4 million respectively.
The surge in trading volume reflects broader market activity, with Bitcoin clearing $80,000 for the first time in a week and altcoins moving in tandem. The increased volume points to improved liquidity around XRP, which could help the token absorb larger price swings.
XRP has traded between $1.35 and $1.48 over the last 24 hours and between $1.31 and $1.48 over the past week. On a longer timeframe, XRP is up around 36% for the month, though it remains approximately 49% below its price from a year ago and roughly 60% below its all-time high of $3.65 reached in July 2025.
