XT Exchange Argues Crypto Adoption Hinges on User Experience, Not Technology Education

XT Exchange's leadership made the case at the platform's eighth-anniversary X Space that mass adoption of cryptocurrency will depend on user experience and practical utility rather than technological education.

Arman Achmed, XT Exchange's COO, reframed the industry's longstanding question about bringing users on-chain. Instead of asking how to attract more people to crypto, he suggested focusing on what tasks users need to accomplish and where existing financial tools make those tasks harder than necessary.

The discussion, hosted by Theo with analysts and creators Fisher, Mr. White, and DmiCota, explored how different user groups have different motivations. Some users already trade but see no reason to use crypto beyond buying and selling. Others need to receive income, move money across borders, preserve value, or access investment opportunities. Achmed noted that understanding how cryptocurrency works does not necessarily give a person a reason to use it.

This distinction shapes product design. Exchanges and operators should start with the user's task and work backward through payment systems, interfaces, and final conversion steps. Success occurs when a person completes their task without becoming an expert in the underlying technology.

The Complete Journey Matters

Fisher illustrated the concept with a freelancer in Africa receiving payments from overseas clients. The freelancer's primary concern is whether payment arrives quickly, how much value is lost in transfer, and whether the money can be used after arrival. The vocabulary of blockchain is irrelevant to that outcome.

DmiCota highlighted a critical gap at the end of the process. A stablecoin may solve the transfer problem, but a difficult cash-out or off-ramp can leave a recipient with a balance that is technically received but practically stranded. The final step determines whether the initial transaction created actual value.

Achmed applied this logic to XT Pay, which allows eligible users in supported markets to use USDT balances through merchant payment options. He outlined questions operators should ask about any stablecoin flow: what did it cost to acquire the asset, what will conversion cost the recipient, and how long before the money can be used. Availability and acceptance vary by market, making the complete journey more important than any single feature.

Tokenization and Market Access

The same principle applies to tokenization and new financial instruments. A product should be evaluated by its minimum entry point, eligibility requirements, usability, and exit or redemption path. XT Exchange's real-world asset zone and TradFi futures offering should be judged not simply on whether an instrument is new, but on whether a user can understand the choice and act on it.

Mr. White added a market perspective, noting that stablecoin inflows, spot trading activity, and assets moving on-chain can help distinguish fresh liquidity from money rotating among existing participants. DmiCota's user perspective supplied a behavioral test: people should return because a service worked, not because a marketing campaign temporarily caught their attention.

Achmed emphasized that durable adoption is measured by users returning because something accomplished an ordinary financial need. The next billion users are not an audience awaiting better marketing, but people with specific financial problems. Companies that earn their loyalty will be those that make those problems easier to solve and allow the technology to recede once the task is complete.
