Bitcoin has settled at $76,000 as the weekend begins, despite resumed attacks between the US and Iran. The stability follows a volatile week that saw the largest cryptocurrency swing between $75,000 and $81,000.
BTC Stable Despite New Attacks
Bitcoin dropped sharply on October 30 after a major hack against Binance, falling from $81,000 to $76,000 within about an hour. A recovery attempt reached $79,000 on Monday but was rejected. More volatility followed on Tuesday and Wednesday after the US midterm results.
The Democratic sweep initially pushed BTC down to $75,600 before a strong rebound to $81,000 on Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, bitcoin erased those gains and fell below $76,000 alongside Wall Street. The decline worsened on Friday when the price slipped below $75,000 for the first time in more than two months.
Bulls intervened after the latest leg down, helping bitcoin recover to $76,000 as of press time. The calm over the past 18 hours is notable given that US President Trump confirmed the US military struck Iran. Bitcoin’s market capitalization is $1.520 trillion, and its dominance is just below 60%.
ZEC and QNT Gain, RAIN and CC Fall
Ethereum is near $2,250 after a minor increase over the past 24 hours. BNB has approached $700, while XRP is well below the $1.20 support level after a major crash on Friday. SOL, TRX, HYPE, and LINK are slightly in the green, while XMR, DOGE, ADA, BCH, NEAR, and UNI are in the red.
ZEC posted the largest gain among larger caps, rising over 4% to $1,325. QNT climbed 5.3% to tap $200 again. In contrast, RAIN and CC are down by roughly 5%.
The total crypto market cap has regained around $50 billion since yesterday’s low and now stands at $2.550 trillion.
