Analyst Maps Downside Levels for BTC, ETH, and XRP as Sell-Off Risk Grows

As the cryptocurrency market faces a renewed sell-off, analyst Ali Martinez has outlined the next major downside levels for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and XRP if the situation worsens. In a post on X to his nearly 170,000 followers, Martinez identified key technical thresholds that could determine whether the correction deepens or bulls intervene to stem further losses.

Bitcoin: $60K in Focus

Martinez noted that BTC is still trading within a broad channel on the three-day chart, with $73,000 serving as crucial mid-range support. If Bitcoin loses that level decisively, he sees the channel’s lower boundary near $60,000 as the next major zone to watch. This would represent a substantial additional decline from the recent pullback, which saw BTC fall from $87,000 to around $76,000. Martinez’s view aligns with other bearish forecasts, including one from analyst Bren, who warned that Bitcoin could tumble to $56,000 before eventually recovering.

Ethereum: Sub-$2K Risk

Ethereum’s setup appears weaker, according to Martinez. The largest altcoin has broken below a right-angled ascending broadening pattern on the daily chart, with $2,385 no longer holding as support. The measured move from that structure points toward approximately $1,963 if selling pressure intensifies. This level is consistent with Martinez’s previous warnings that a clean breakdown beneath the $2,350–$2,400 region could put sub-$2,000 ETH back into play.

XRP: Return to August Lows?

XRP’s landscape is similarly uncomfortable, Martinez said, explaining that the token has broken beneath the mid-range support of its channel, shifting attention toward the lower boundary near $0.99. The asset last dipped to that level in August, shortly before it surged 70% in 72 hours to $1.70. However, sentiment has deteriorated in recent weeks. Santiment Intelligence highlighted a trader who previously called for XRP to fall toward $0.99 unless it closed above $1.36—which it didn’t. The asset has since fallen by roughly 10%, though the broader market decline makes it difficult to separate skill from favorable timing. Santiment also warned that among the most profitable XRP wallets they track, only one is currently long and has not traded since August, while three active short positions have collectively added roughly 2.1 million XRP since late October.
