BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) experienced a net outflow of $405.3 million on Monday, the largest daily withdrawal for the fund since June 26, when $444.5 million left the vehicle.
Overall, U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange‑traded funds recorded $398.6 million in net outflows on the same day, according to data from Farside Investors. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) attracted $6.7 million, partially offsetting the broader outflow trend.
The Monday withdrawals follow $515 million in net outflows from U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs in October and bring the cumulative net outflows for 2026 to roughly $38 million.
Market context
Bitcoin’s price slipped below $76,400 on Monday, its lowest level since August, before trading around $76,600 at the time of reporting, down 3.7 % over the prior week, according to CoinGecko data.
U.S. spot Ether (ETH) ETFs also saw net outflows of about $140 million on Monday, extending a six‑day losing streak that began after a record $1.61 billion monthly outflow in October, as reported by SoSoValue.
Commentary
Edwin Mata, CEO of tokenization firm Brickken, noted that the outflows should not be seen as a rejection of digital assets, suggesting that investors may reduce exposure when uncertainty rises, particularly after events that raise questions about market‑infrastructure security.
The withdrawals occur amid heightened crypto‑market volatility following a $6.3 billion hack of Binance.
