Ethereum has achieved a milestone it has not reached since August 2025, printing a higher high for the first time in more than a year. The move also pushed ETH through a resistance zone that had repeatedly halted previous rallies.
Ethereum peaked near $4,957 in August 2025. Each major rally that followed ended with a lower high—until now. ETH reached $2,807 this week, while former resistance around $2,438 has shifted to support. The weekly RSI has climbed to 64.
Returning to Long-Term Range
Crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen notes that Ethereum has returned to its long-term logarithmic regression band, a range used to estimate where ETH sits relative to its historical trend. Cowen has stated he favors dollar-cost averaging through the second half of the year, while leaving room for potential market volatility in Q4. Corporate treasuries continue adding ETH to their holdings.
Daily Chart Signals Caution
Despite the weekly strength, the daily chart presents a concern. Ethereum continues making higher highs while the daily RSI is making lower highs—a pattern known as bearish divergence that can signal weakening rally strength. Trading volume is also declining.
The key support level now sits around $2,440. Holding this level preserves the bullish structure, while breaking below it could expose the 1,950–2,000 area. A move above $2,920 would strengthen the case for a push toward $3,400.
