Ethereum remains the dominant blockchain for stablecoin issuance, accounting for approximately 54.1% of all stablecoins across 47 tracked blockchains as of late October 2026. The network hosts roughly $162.5 billion to $163 billion in stablecoin issuance within a total market of around $300 to $301 billion.
A second measurement shows a slightly different picture: Ethereum's stablecoin holdings stand at approximately $143.76 billion, representing about 47.69% of the total market. The difference between issuance and holdings reflects bridging activity that moves tokens between blockchains.
Tether's USDT and Circle's USDC remain the dominant stablecoins on the network. Tron holds second place in stablecoin issuance with roughly $94 billion, accounting for approximately 31% of the market.
Tokenized Stocks Show Strong Growth
Ethereum's tokenized stock market reached between $827 million and $841 million, reflecting year-over-year growth of approximately 170%. The broader tokenized equities sector across all blockchains has grown to between $3.8 billion and $4.4 billion.
However, Ethereum does not lead the tokenized stocks category. BNB Chain has emerged as the primary driver of sectoral growth and holds the leading position. The overall tokenized stock market crossed $3 billion earlier in 2026 and has continued expanding since.
Ethereum's tokenized stock holdings remain a fraction of its stablecoin base, with stocks measured in hundreds of millions compared to stablecoins measured in hundreds of billions.
Market Positioning
Each major blockchain has carved distinct niches: Tron has established strength in peer-to-peer transfers, while BNB Chain leads in tokenized equities. The measurement gap between Ethereum's 54.1% issuance share and 47.69% holdings share underscores the importance of distinguishing between these metrics when assessing blockchain dominance.
