PancakeSwap (CAKE) experienced a notable upward movement, climbing 13.4% on daily charts to trade around $2.26 after successfully moving past the $2 price level. The altcoin reached a high of $2.28, marking a peak not seen since December 2025.
Market participation expanded concurrently with the price increase. Trading volume surged by over 110%, while the asset's turnover reached a record high of $25 million according to CoinAnk data, indicating intense buying pressure and strong market demand during the uptrend.
The recent price strength follows a prolonged deflationary period. Data highlights that CAKE has recorded 34 consecutive months of deflation. Since peaking in 2023, the token supply has been reduced by 53 million CAKE, representing a 14.5% decrease in market supply.
Derivatives markets also reflected heightened activity. Open Interest for PancakeSwap increased by 39% to reach $51 million, while derivatives volume rose 115% to $89 million. Market indicators showed that the Long/Short Ratio remained above 1 across major exchanges, with Binance top traders registering a ratio of 3.7. Furthermore, the market delta has stayed positive since mid-August, holding near 131.6k.
Technical momentum indicators supported the ongoing bullish structure. The Aroon Oscillator remained in an upward trajectory at approximately 92, and the Stochastic Momentum Index approached the overbought zone at 77. Market analysts note that maintaining support above the $2 threshold remains critical for the current trend, while overcoming resistance levels near $2.4 would open potential paths toward $3.00.
