TRON Inc., which manages a digital asset treasury, transitioned its TRX supply sources after the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office sanctioned Huobi Global S.A., an entity related to the HTX exchange.
The treasury address TEySEZLJf6rs2mCujGpDEsgoMVWKLAk9mT had been receiving daily TRX purchases from TFTWNgDBkQ5wQoP8RXpRznnHvAVV8x5jLu, an address labeled as "HTX 4" on TRONSCAN and previously included in HTX's proof-of-reserves disclosures. These transfers continued until May 29, five days after the UK sanctions took effect on May 26.
On May 29, HTX 4 funded address TYyriWzf7AW75hwiVB4oDBrJGThidZuRTd with TRX, which then began providing TRON Inc.'s daily transfers. TYyr, as the address is abbreviated, has since received TRX from TK86Qm97uM848dMk8G7xNbJB7zG1uW3h1n, labeled "HTX 5" and still disclosed in HTX's proof of reserves.
TRON Inc. now generally receives transfers from TWhDfwC8QE6pQyiYy248dNor3uphPEw5M2, whose TRX largely originates from Binance but has also received from HTX-affiliated addresses.
Custodial Arrangements
TRON Inc. is advised by Justin Sun and chaired by Weike Sun, Justin's father. The company has disclosed that it purchases TRX from BiT Global, a Justin Sun-linked entity, for its dollar-cost-averaging strategy and has hired BiT Global as custodian of the treasury wallet.
TRON Inc.'s disclosures state that the company retains sole control of the treasury wallet and private keys in Hong Kong, with directors Weike Sun and Zi Yang authorized by the board to manage them.
Zhihong Liu, a director of TRON Inc., also serves as a director for BiT Global Trust Limited in Hong Kong. BiT Global is also listed as a custodian for Wrapped Bitcoin, another Justin Sun-advised project.
