Tron has settled more than $30 trillion in lifetime transfers, but the network's native token TRX shows little price movement. TRX currently trades at $0.34, nearly identical to its price of $0.3383 one year ago.
Tron DAO announced the milestone this week, noting the network has grown to over 405 million accounts and 15 billion transactions in eight years. The announcement coincided with onchain trackers reporting over $30 billion in daily transaction volume on the network.
Stablecoins Drive Transaction Volume
Most of Tron's transaction volume consists of stablecoin transfers rather than TRX activity. Tron hosts $92.6 billion in USDT, representing 50.4% of Tether's total $183.7 billion supply—approximately $19 billion more than Ethereum.
Stablecoin supply on Tron grew from $76.6 billion in September 2025 to $94.0 billion in September 2026, a 22.6% increase. Over the same period, daily active accounts rose from 3.01 million to 4.30 million, while daily transactions increased from 9.54 million to 11.35 million.
Price Disconnect from Usage Metrics
The $30 trillion settlement figure reflects dollars changing hands, not demand for TRX itself. While USDT transfers require TRX-linked resources to pay transaction fees, the value moved is stablecoins pegged at $1, not TRX tokens.
TRX has gained only 0.1% over the past year and sits barely above its price from 30 days ago at $0.3360. This contrasts with broader market declines—Bitcoin's price fell approximately 22.8% over the same 12-month period.
The network is pursuing infrastructure upgrades, including a post-quantum security plan announced this year. Whether such developments eventually influence TRX's price remains an open question for token holders.
